We have a challenge for Lions across the C1 district. Do you walk your dog? Do you swim laps? Do you ride your bike to work? Do you go running with friends? Do you roller skate with your children? Then get ready to start recording your steps and kilometres, because every step will count in C1 Making Strides. From April 1st through to June 20th, clubs across the C1 district are invited on a virtual trip around South Australia, visiting our Lions Club along the way before travelling to the Multiple District Convention venue in Canberra, then onto the Lions Australia head office in Newcastle, before finally making it to the ANZI Forum in Cairns. Any and all lion members can get involved and your distances count towards your club’s tally. There will be a club leader board updated weekly, and all clubs will be tallied together to then see how far we can travel together as a district. So talk to your members today and get them ready to start recording. Let’s encourage our friends, families and the community to get active, adopt a healthy lifestyle and raise awareness about diabetes while together C1 will be making strides.
