Hello, I am Jan, and my salon is a responsible, sustainable and a circular one! As a hairdresser, I wondered what happens with all the waste that my salon generates and where it goes. Well, I found out that nothing should be called "Waste" and all can get a second life. For example, hair: do you know that in the Netherlands every year we burn more than 500,000 kilograms of hair! And hair can be converted into fertilizer for agriculture and even be used to clean up oil spills. The same with aluminium tubes, foils and razor blades, these materials are infinitely recyclable, And what about plastics? Do you know that all the plastics from your salon are recyclable and they can be converted into hundreds of incredible products? Like, tables, chairs, shelves, lamps and of course, new bottles. I also found out that almost all the products I used before contained microplastics, and I disposed into the drains, and ended in our sea, so I took action. Now I am using responsible products without Microplastics. It is time to takes action today, by turning your salons waste into future resources and become sustainable and circular.
