Mahindra XUV500 2021 The 2021 Mahindra XUV500 was recently spied for the first time, revealing the undisguised interior. The cabin is equipped with a two-screen single-piece touchscreen infotainment system, similar to that in the Mercedes Benz. Also, there’s a dual-tone black-creme dashboard with silver elements. The features’ list will now include a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, up to seven airbags, and (possibly) Level-1 autonomous driving tech with adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and forward-collision warning. On the mechanical front, the 2021 XUV500 will borrow the Thar’s 2.0-litre petrol and 2.2-liter diesel engines, albeit with more power. Transmission options will include a standard 6-speed manual and an automatic gearbox for both engines. The 2021 XUV500 is likely to reach showrooms by the middle of 2021 and retail from Rs 50-60 lakh onwards. It will rekindle its rivalry with mid-sizers like the MG Hector Plus and Tata Safari. Jeep Renegade 2021 The Jeep Renegade is a small compact SUV from the American SUV maker and might make it to nepal late 2021 or early 2022. The new small SUV will feature both petrol and diesel engines and should be priced around the Rs 18-25 lakh range when launched. The new Jeep Renegade should be a popular car in nepal because of its heritage and design. Talking about design, the Jeep Renegade harks back to the original Willy’s Jeep with its slatted grille and recessed headlamps. The front bumper receives a tough skid plate on the bottom and separate fog lamps. At the rear, the old school design continues with the square tail lamps that look like the fuel jerry cans that used to go on to the older World War 2 jeeps. The Renegade also gets a set of tough looking 17-inch wheels and large tyres that help its stance along with a set of squared-off wheel arches. In terms of interior design, Jeep has given customers the option of customizing the Renegade in various different combinations. That said, the standard car will get a black interior package with a touchscreen infotainment system. The Renegade gets Apple CarPlay and navigation as standard along with optional satellite radio services. The Renegade will be available with a 5-seater option only and will get a spacious boot that can easily swallow up a weekends worth of luggage. The new Renegade will also have a plastic roof panel that will be removable completely in order to give the car a more open top feeling. In temrs of engines, the Renegade might make it to nepal with a 1.4-litre turbocharged motor and a 1.6-litre or 2.0-litre multijet engine. The 1.6-litre engine is the same engine that is available in the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross. The new Renegade will come with both a manual and an automatic option. The manual gearbox will be a 6-speed unit while the automatic gearbox will be a 9-speed unit. Both will come with front wheel drive and all-wheel-drive options. When launched in might make it to nepal, the Jeep Renegade will go up against cars like the Hyundai Creta (on the lower end of the price grade) and the Hyundai Tucson. The Jeep Renegade will also go up against the likes of SsangYong Tivoli, the upcoming Audi Q2 and the Volkswagen Tiguan. That said, if the Renegade is priced higher than what we expect, it will go up against the likes of the Audi Q3, Mercedes-Benz GLA and the BMW X1. Toyota Fortuner 2021 The all-new Fortuner is expected to be available in two different variants; the standard and sportier Legender variant. The standard variant will sport a bold face with a new grille, LED headlamps, and muscular bumpers whereas the Legender variant will sport a premium touch with the Lexus-Esque front fascia and dual-tone alloy wheels. Both the variants will get LED tail lamps. The infotainment system includes an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto along with a 9-speaker JBL sound system. Powertrain option includes the 2.7-liter petrol engine and expected 2.8-liter diesel unit producing 204PS of power and 500Nm of torque for diesel engine mated to a 6-speed manual and automatic gearbox. Likely to launch in Nepal during mid-2021, it will go against the MG Gloster, Mahindra Alturas G4, and Ford Endeavour. Skoda Kodiaq Petrol Previously available only with a diesel engine, the Kodiaq Petrol will now come in a TSI petrol engine (2.0-liter) that produces 187bhp and 320Nm of torque. Transmission duties will be handled by a seven-speed DSG automatic transmission.
