Now, in this session, we will talk about the Industry 4.0 and its impact on cranes, Then we will address, How to incorporate Industry 4.0 in our product ranges? After that, we will talk about Kloog Avalon, A solution provider. then we will have a look about Features of the Digital Platform, And finally, we will be moving on Product developed based on Digital Platform. So, moving forward to the first topic of the session which is Industry 4.0 & its impact on Cranes. Industry 4.0 for the crane industry is a game-changer and those embracing the technology can reap rich benefits in the future. The benefits are many such as It can help, improve productivity, Improve efficiency, Add value to the products, Enhance customer experience, Promote safety at the workplace, Reduce ownership & maintenance cost, and also help, Facilitate legal & statutory compliances. Now, with all known advantages the next step is to how to incorporate Industry 4.0 in our product ranges? Let’s see few points, which can guide us to incorporate these requirements. Connectivity or Connected Equipment. after that the Safety. The next one is Training, Next is Customer Centric, And the final one is improving efficiency and cost reduction. Now we will move ahead in this session and talk about Kloog Avalon. With these changing demands in the industry, we have been successfully been able to transform ourselves from a product company to a Solution Provider. We have built a digital platform that can communicate and is modular in design, which helps to enable scalability and speed in its offering. With loads of features already incorporated and eagerness to constantly improvising on its offering is helping us to offer smart solutions to its OEM customers, and further enabling them to add more value to its products & end customer. Now let’s talk about the interesting features of the Digital Platform. The first one is, Datalogger, By using this feature we can store • event encountered in a crane, • We can store Load Lifting patterns, which is very important to know the actual utilization of the crane. • Store Error or tripping operation of crane with real-time and thus we can understand the behavior of the crane. The Next feature is Event Recorder, This feature will be going to record the crane operations like, How many times crane or Hoist has been used? How many times crane has been tripped? Also, we can record how many hours hoist operation has been performed with load value for every single operation. This data can be accessed through a Mobile Application developed by us. Look at the demo screens to check for the Crane Usage Data. The Third Feature is one of the latest technology of Industry 4.0. CAN bus System. CAN bus is one of the communication protocol helps converts analog signals into Digital and make the system digital. It has an inbuilt feature of Error Detection, This system can able to identify any physical damage, wrong connection, or an internal malfunction of the system and generate the specific Error Code, which helps the maintenance person to identify the fault easily and a lot of time-saving in the crane downtime. With this system, we don’t req. Shielded cable and this way we can eliminate a lot of issues related to Shielding of cable, Receiving Garbage data, or noise-related issues. The next feature is like a Basic need of any Digital Component. A Connectivity. In today’s world can we survive without connectivity or communication? “NO”, So Wi-Fi, Bluetooth facility is inbuilt available in this digital platform. Using Wi-Fi, you can monitor the live data of the crane through the application. If we don’t have Wi-Fi access, we can connect to the system via Bluetooth. When you connect to the system through Bluetooth system will transfer all stored details into the Mobile app and server. We can perform several tasks with the mobile app, Control the Operation based on the defined logic. There is no need to go up for the Load limiter system calibration, We can view or modify the setting of Load calibration through mobile App., Maximum Load capacity, etcetera. We can send customized notifications or Warning messages to the End-user, team, or concerned person via text message or email. Based on available data, OEM can apply data analytic tools and generate many reports, Trend graphs, and Performance curves. Let’s talk about the Safety features of this Digital Platform. The first one is Sense Good operation, • This Feature will ensure that the crane cannot be operative without the system active and operative. The second one is Slack Cut-OFF Function, • This function ensures that the wire rope remains in place on the pulley, even when the hook is lowered and touches the ground level. The next feature is Overload Protection Cut-off Function or Fail Safe Mode, • This function ensures load-lifting within the rated crane capacity. • Cutoff Setpoint value will be user Editable as per requirement. And the last feature is clear & distinct warning means each operation has a specific indication. • For healthy operation, steady Green. • For Approach Condition, Blinking Red light. • Overload Condition, Steady Red light with high audible hooter and Cut off relay ON. • Error Condition, Both Green & Red Light blinking. • & For Slack Condition, Blinking Green. Based on these features of the Digital Platform, WE have developed few products, Number one is SMART OLP SYSTEM, which means a smart overload protection system for cranes, and second is the Big Display System. This system has all related features available on the digital platform. Let’s take a look at both systems. Digital Load Pin, CAN Cable, & Load Limiter Control Box. These all 3 make a Load Limiter system. Next is big display system, Digital Load Pin, CAN cable, big display which has 4 digits & 4-inch Character size, & power supply box. Also, on request, we have a display available with, 8 & 12 Inch Character sizes. All these displays have 4 digits by default and on request, we can customize it up to 8 digits for a display purpose. Now next product is the most exciting product and this product will change the design concept of the Crane. A Crane Controller, This controller can have inbuilt crane operation logic and also have the ability to customize its logic based on the application demand. This controller collects input like Pushbutton remote command, Safety limit switches inputs, Safety sensor inputs, Inputs from VFD, And generate the output which can control the crane. Also, all the features of the digital platform are available in this Controller. The most interesting characteristic of this controller is, we can modify its logic and add some add-on features based on the requirement. Let's take a look at a few possible add on features, Inching Mode, means when the operator wants for fine adjustment of job, he needs to select Inching mode available on remote, so when operator press down button Hoist will move only 100 mm or 200 mm based on the defined logic and stops automatically. Variable hoisting speed based on Load value, Predefined area protection, Automatic Hook Centering Mode, Snag prevention, And many possible customizations can be done based on OEM’s recommendation. These kinds of add-on features transform simple cranes into Smart Cranes. These products are going to add value and lots of silent advantages to the OEM for the cranes.
