BTS AND BLACKPINK DESERVE THE HYPE I know a lot of people think that Bts and Blackpink are somehow undeserving of their achievements. Personally I can see that they are both extremely talented and deserving of all the things that they've accomplished. I think some people are mad because they're faves can't get the recognition that they think they deserve. Also while we are at it I think that fanwars between armies and blinks are just dumb. Both artists are thriving and it's absolutely pointless to be fighting about award shows and magazine shoots. NCT, WAY Ve AND CONTROVERSIES No matter how much I try I can’t seem to get into nct, day after day there is alway a new controversy or problem about this particular group. I can’t deny that a lot of members of NCT are very talented, what I can say is that they balance it out with problematic behaviour. They did and said things such as Racism, bullying, colorism, cultural appropriation, fat-phobia and ableism that I can't personally tolerate. The most enraging thing about all of these scandals, is that neither the artist nor the company addressed the situation properly. Jay why Pe should burn in hell (no further explanation) BLACK PINK LACK IN DIVERSITY I said what I said, Blackpink as I already said are genuinely good artists but they aren’t as diverse as they could be given the fact that they are literally the most famous girl group. Compared to red velvet or twice they sound almost always the same. Not in the sense that they haven't improved through the years, but in the sense that the music and beat are very repetitive and plain.. This said, I think that the album that they just put out was a step towards a more diverse and interesting career. QUEER BATING IN KPOP As a member of the LGBTQ+ community I can say that I would prefer if these artists could keep their hand off of the community. Monster by Seulgi and Irene was a whole bop, but the idea that they exploited my sexuality for they’re gain just doesn’t sit right with me. Unless the kpop idol has come out I think Idols should stop the kind of concept, and give space to real queer artists such as Holand. LGBTQ+ and kpop There is a difference in an Idol saying that they are a member of the lgbtq comunity slash showing intrest in the opposite gender and being affectionate to other members or holding a rainbow flag. I can’t stress this enough, I understand the need of queer people to be conforted by the idea that someone they look up to is like them. At the same time we can’t be thinking all Idols are raging homosexuals, in a homophobic country. Realizing this will help us be less shocked if one of our faves is not supportive. SHIPPING I think it’s perfectly normal for someone within a fandom to find a ship which can be platonic or romantic that they particularly like. However forcing your made up ship dynamics to two or more people is just plain weird and wrong. I think a good example are the lisakookers and the taekookers, who go to every extreme just to prove that their faves locked eyes at a show. It's just embarrassing sometimes. SOME OF YOUR FAVES ARE JUST RACIST AND Y'ALL DON’T WANT TO ADMIT IT I think some people find it difficult to understand that what we know about these kpop Idols is just what they decide to show us. We are NOT their friends nor do we know them personally. It's okay to hold your favourite artist accountable when they do or have done something fucked up. I’ve seen too many times, people jumping on twitter to say that their faves would never do something bad or worse. excuse their very problematic past behaviours. KPOP IS NOT THAT DEEP Some of yall need to put your morals before kpop. We should all value our thoughts and personal beliefs more than the group that we stan. An example are the twitter feuds slash fanwars in which fans tell other people to kill themselves, often for doing absolutely nothing. Its a matter of whats wrong and right, having this kind of behaviour is complitelly uncalled for, some people should just shut the fuck up and think before speaking. JESSI GETS A LOT OF UNNECESSARY HATE I feel like Jessi gets a lot of hate just for being Jessi. In other words people hate to see an empowered woman. Jessi is very genuine and talented, it's okay to not like some artist's music. What is not okay is making fun of the way that she talks or how she moves, dances and her body. HWASA HAS DONE LESS THAN YOUR FAVES I genuinely liked Hwasa before getting to know what she has done and said, but as the days pass I can see how she has done less disrespectful things that some well known and respected groups and artists. I’m not saying that she is not guilty or that she is more understanding now, but I can say with certainty that she is less problematic than others. YOUR FAVOURITE RAPPERS CAN’T RAP Yes, you heard that right. A lot of those kpop idols that you praise for being rap lords are average at best. they just talk slower and/or with a deep voice. There is no flow, no rhythm, no diction. It's time some of yall understand that rap is poetry with rhythm. It's okay to have a nonsensical poem but it has to flow and sound good. It's not about what you rap but how you rap. A good example of this are Felix and Changbin from Stray Kids, in which one doesn’t rap and the other clearly does.
