Eruvar. Eruvar is a 1997 Indian Tamizh language epic political drama film. It was written, produced, and directed by Money Rathnam. The film is inspired by the lives of M G Ramachandran, and M Karunaanithi. It is set against the background of cinema and politics in Tamizh Naad. It stars Moohanlal and Prakash Raaj as friends, who later turned into political opponents. Aishwarya Rai, Revathi, Gautami, and Tabu portrayed the women in their lives. Money Rathnam claimed that Moohanlal had "the ability to make everything absolutely realistic with the least amount of effort".
