The river Pchinja is the second left tributary of the river Vardar, springing in the Republic of Serbia below the peak Bela Voda on the mountain Dukat at an altitude of 1,664 meters. And in the river Vardar it flows into the Taorska Gorge at an altitude of 191 meters. The total length of the river is 135 km. in the Republic of Northern Macedonia the river has a catchment area of 2,317 square kilometers and a length of 76 kilometers. Larger tributaries of the river Pchinja are Kriva Reka, Kumanovska Reka, Bistrica, Dragomanska Reka, Petrosnica and the river Luka. The Pchinja river basin is divided into four fishing areas. Fishing area Pchinja 1 - Kumanovski It covers the course of the river Pchinja from the Macedonian-Serbian border to Novo Selo with the tributaries of the river Bistrica, Dragomanska Reka, river Kumanovka, Petroshnitsa, Luka and river Lipkovka from the dam of the accumulation Lipkovo to the confluence of the tributaries, then all rivers as well as all standing waters natural ponds and small and micro-accumulations. In this fishing area, trout are caught on all kinds of smaller artificial baits such as wobblers, flies and blinkers. Common nase and Western Balkan barbell are caught with the help of floats on all kinds of natural baits such as larvae, white worms. Chubs are caught on bread, corn, grasshoppers, crickets and small fish on a variety of artificial lures such as wobblers, blinkers and silicones. Fishing area Pchinja 1 - Skopje Covers the flow of the river from Novo Selo to the inflow into Vardar with all tributaries and all reservoirs in that part, including the recreational zone Badar which covers the lakes in the locality Badar. these ponds are made as a result of the exploitation of sand from separation. In this fishing area, a Common nase is hunted, a black Balkan barbel with the help of a float on all kinds of natural baits such as larvae, white worms. Chubs are hunted for bread, corn, locusts, crickets and various types of artificial lures such as wobblers, blinkers and silicones. The Common barbell in this area is caught with the help of a float and lead at the bottom. Large specimens of white barbel are hunted for bunches of worms and bread. Large specimens of catfish, frogs, grape worms and larger wobblers and blinkers are also hunted in the area. Fishing area Kriva Reka 1 Kriva Palanka Covers the flow of Kriva Reka from the source part to the inflow of Kratovska River into Kriva Reka with all tributaries, and all standing waters of natural lakes and small and micro-accumulations in this part. In this fishing area, trout are caught on all kinds of smaller artificial baits such as wobblers, flies and blinkers. Fishing area Kriva Reka 1 Kratovo-Kumanovski Covers the course of Kriva Reka from the confluence of Kratovska Reka in Kriva Reka and including Kratovska Reka to the estuary of Kriva Reka in the river Pchinja with all tributaries as well as all standing waters natural lakes and small and microacum this part. In this fishing area, a Common nase is hunted and a black Balkan barbel is caught with the help of a float on all kinds of natural baits such as larvae, loaves of white worms. Chubs are caught on bread, corn, grasshoppers, crickets and small fish on a variety of artificial lures such as wobblers, blinkers and silicones.
